'Nice to Meet You' for viola, double bass and live electronics captures a number of Jūra Elena’s aesthetic predilections. She combines live aleatoric improvisation with pre-recorded electronic and acoustic passages, where acoustic sounds of voice and custom-tuned piano are weaved into a synthetic music fabric, commenting a dialogue with viola and bass. The piece, according to composer, explores the moment of encountering and making acquaintance with a stranger and with one-self. The piece was composed in Vilnius and recorded in Copenhagen, marking the turning point in the composer’s creative journey.
